Sea shells are one of our most ancient decorations. Our prehistoric ancestors used to string them into necklaces or hang them from cords as pendants. People still use them this way today.
The Melo shell, also known as Melo Melo or Melon Shell because of its melon color, is a species of very large sea snail. The meat is commonly used for food and the shell is often used as decoration or as a tool used for scooping. It is also referred to as the Bailer Shell because fishermen have been known to use the shell to bail water out of leaking boats.
